I would like to comment on traffic enforcement or rather the lack of enforcement In Delta.
I have resided in Tsawwassen for six years and observed the lack of enforcement of traffic laws such as the great number of cyclists not wearing helmets and riding on sidewalks.
There are also many drivers who do not obey driving in the right lane, but continue to dawdle in the left lane and give you the middle finger when you pass on the right.
Last year I contacted a patrol sergeant about these issues and was informed about the discretion that the police officers have on which laws they will enforce. They also will not enforce laws where there is a low chance for a conviction.
Makes me wonder why we clutter law books with laws that we do not intend to enforce.
