Last Friday my wife, daughter and I had the rare privilege of seeing Tony Barton, a first class performance by an extremely talented professional performer, at the Tsawwassen Arts Centre.

My 30 years in the motion picture exhibition business tells me I was experiencing professionalism at its very best. It was a taping and the camera people added to the performance with their unobtrusive presence on and around the stage.

As a senior in his 80s, classic rock is not the music I grew up with but he made it work for me. He not only had his audience eating out of his hands, he had them screaming and dancing and having a very joyous time. The only thing that bothered me was that I couldn't jump up and join them.

Lots of luck, Tony, I hope this tape opens lots of doors for you. You certainly have the talent.
