Re: Oklahoma on stage at SDSS, Feb. 21
Wow, it was so exciting to read in my online edition of the Optimist about South Delta Secondary’s production of Oklahoma.
Back when I was in my late 20s (a very long time ago) I danced in Oklahoma - the very first of many years of musicals for the Medicine Hat Musical Theatre, which goes on to this day.
It was the most enjoyable time I had dancing and was fortunate enough to dance in a second musical the following year. But as this was the first musical on the stage by amateur singers and dancers in the 'Hat, we hoped for a good audience. And my heavens, we were sold out for the whole six days.
I am hoping and praying that Oklahoma being put on by SDSS is also sold out and the community is out to see them and support them. Please do so and know that this person in Peachland is so envious as she cannot be there. All the best and - break a leg.
