Southlands doesn’t need an anchor tenant

For those who think the Southlands is a shopping development that requires an anchor, think again. It is a housing development approved by former mayor Jackson and her DIVA party even though many in South Delta were against the destruction of the farmland.

Next, Mayor George Harvie is not against development as long as it is in the approved industrial or commercial areas. As someone suggested, put the Four Winds brewery and 200-seat restaurant next to the casino or even in the Tsawwassen Town Centre, but not the Southlands.

The Southlands is not a place for a tavern serving alcohol and adding fear to Boundary Bay residents of meeting an impaired driver on these dark and narrow roads.
