Use negative billing approach to address lack of organ donors

The provincial government's actions are hypocritical and inconsistent.

The recent mass mailing of empty house tax forms to all resident homeowners certainly ignored everyone's constitutional rights with regards to participation. Fill it in to opt out of the tax or the tax was automatically owed.

Since this was implemented, why not do the same for organ donors? Mail out a form to every resident of B.C. to opt out of being an organ donor. If you fill it in and return it, voila, you're not an organ donor. However, for everyone who does not fill in and return said form, voila, you're an organ donor.

Problem of lack of organs solved because the reality is most people won't return this form.

In many European countries citizens who do not wish to be organ donors must opt out or their organs are harvested upon their death as need requires.

Guess what? Most European countries have plenty of available organs to meet their society's needs.
