We're at an all-time low

There are moments in every country’s life as there are in each person’s life, when serious attention must be paid to the future and what it may hold for good or ill. In the case of Canada and thus, every Canadian’s future, the fast-approaching federal general election is of prime importance.

After four years of malfeasance on the part of the Justin Trudeau led Liberal government, the state of Canada has been reduced to an all-time low with very poor prospects for Canada to regain its respected position as a stalwart among the world’s middle powers as was the case for years prior to October 2015 if Trudeau and his minions receive another four years in Ottawa.

As it is currently, every Canadian who earns an annual income as well as those who in September will enter a classroom for the first time, will be needed to pay down the enormous debt that Trudeau has inflicted on Canada with his foolish, ill-considered “toss away billions” attempt to gain a two-year seat as one of 10 UN Security Council members with little or no power and sit, as do mannequins in a dress shop window, as mere window dressing, while the real power rests in the five permanent members.

The electorate of all Canada, but especially those of Delta, must give serious consideration to each political party’s campaign literature and weigh each against the future of Canada with an eye on the bottom line and a sense of realistic achievement.

As has been seen post October 2015, Pixie Dust and flimflam do not assure the country of competency in the federal government in Ottawa. Rhetoric and promises do not build a solid base upon which to judge and to elect a political party to govern Canada for the next four years and quite possibly beyond well into the next decade.

Intelligent discussion coupled with serious research and a very close inspection of each party’s Constitution is a must before voters mark their X.

The future of Canada depends on an insightful electorate and less pie-in-the-sky rhetoric.
