Letters: Incident just breaks my heart

I commend you on raising a man who not only does an incredible job, but does it with a smile on his face!

Editor:

I just read a letter entitled “Christmas doesn’t always bring out the best” in the Jan. 6th edition of the Optimist, and I must say this absolutely breaks my heart and makes me so angry that people would do this.

Andrew, if your son is the young man that does my recycling garbage, I commend you on raising a man who not only does an incredible job, but does it with a smile on his face!

He is the best part of our Monday! My son and I put together gift bags for him and wait to give it to him on holidays.

We are his first pick up at 7 a.m. All of them work very hard but there is an X-factor in your boy as he goes beyond and often stacks and puts the boxes off to the side for us, rather than just throwing them down. This holiday he was wearing reindeer antlers playing music happily doing his job. This is appalling that someone has done this. I can’t think of someone more deserving for doing a thankless job with such a phenomenal attitude!
