Re: Eyes opened by Delta council decision on higher density project, letter to the editor, Aug. 19

My neighbours and I had the opportunity to sit in on a council meeting on Tuesday, Aug. 16. We were against a proposal by the developer, in which a lot would be rezoned and split in half. The residents that would be affected took up a good portion of the council chambers, with several of us speaking against the proposed rezoning. The mayor and council members listened to our concerns (and extended the meeting to do so) which resulted in a unanimous vote against the proposal.

Realizing each development is unique, I would like to thank her Worship the Mayor, Lois Jackson, and members of the council for listening to the residents that were to be affected by this development and voting against it.

The mayor and council have my vote!
