Opinion poll: Local Canucks fans speak out over firing of Bruce Boudreau

Local Canucks fans are not happy with how the team handled the firing of then head coach Bruce Boudreau.

Delta Optimist polled 366 Optimist readers and asked the question: What do you think of Vancouver Canucks management firing (now former) head coach Bruce Boudreau?

The poll ran from Jan. 27 to Feb. 1. Of the 366 votes, we can determine that 144 are from within the community.

The full results are as follows:

I'm not happy. The Canucks' losing streak wasn't Boudreau's fault. 61.81% local, 61.48% total

I don't care either way. 31.94% local, 30.60% total

I'm fine with it. The team obviously needed some kind of shake-up. 6.25% local, 7.92% total

Results are based on an online study of adult Delta Optimist readers that are located in Ladner and or Tsawwassen. The margin of error - which measures sample variability - is +/- 5.08%, 19 times out of 20.
