I would like to express my disappointment in the placing of the article titled Family going back in time next to the article titled Robinson's sentencing postponed until July.
Given both articles dealt with RCMP officers, I felt the article on the deplorable actions of Monty Robertson next to an article regarding the legacy of Bryce Gilkinson and Kenneth Harwood diminished their memory.
Gilkinson and Harwood were exemplary examples of the integrity and commitment that we expect in the policing force.
While I am very glad that justice recognized Robinson's intent in manipulating the measurement of alcohol intake, I would like to remember the vast majority of RCMP officers are dedicated in their service.
Gilkinson and Harwood were certainly men who showed that dedication, and deserve to be remembered with the respect.
