I would like to extend a heartfelt thank you and appreciation to many talented and hard working people in our community and beyond that helped me put together an incredible show on June 1, 2 and 3 at the Tsawwassen Arts Centre.

Our annual presentation was titled The Phoenix, the Fire of Flamenco, and it included passionate dancing by our amazing 30 students at Los Gitanos, live painting by the talented Garett Campbell Wilson, song by renowned flamenco singer Jafelin Heltin, Spanish guitar by Peter Mole and fantastic percussion by Dave McIlroy, plus the support with the "palmas" and overall rhythm by my Vancouver mentor, Oscar Nieto.

It also featured the participation of the Delta Youth Orchestra, both in our recorded and live versions of a song directed by Stephen Robb, sound and light effects by Rod Malkin and magnificent costumes by Margreet Preston.

The level of professionalism was palpable and the energy in the audience just remarkable at our three sold out events.

The comments after each show were so encouraging with many people saying they were moved to tears by the passion and vibrancy of the performance.

I am very proud to have been able to offer this kind of arts and cultural experience. I can't wait to plan for our next event.
