Spending time with family and friends were the top responses to a recent online poll conducted by the Optimist.
The Optimist polled 145 readers and asked the question: What are you doing for Thanksgiving this year?
The poll ran from Oct. 7 to 12 and of the 145 votes, we can determine that 76 are from within the community.

Celebrating with friends for “Friendsgiving” 26.32 % local, 21.38 % total
Going home to be with family 46.05 % local, 38.62 % total
Exploring and travelling 2.63 % local, 6.21 % total
I like to spend it alone 13.16 % local, 16.55 % total
I don’t celebrate Thanksgiving 11.84 % local, 17.24 % total
Results are based on an online study of adult Delta Optimist readers that are located in Ladner. The margin of error - which measures sample variability - is +/- %, 19 times out of twenty.
