MURPHY'S LAW It's a bit of a stretch to call it a park, but the plan to expand it is a positive move nonetheless.

Editor: Re: Expand Ladner's critical mass, Community Comment, July 22 Tourism, especially in the communities of Ladner and Tsawwassen, is a subject very dear to my heart. I was pleased, therefore, to read Mark Sakai's column.

Editor: On the morning of April 27, while travelling in heavy traffic to YVR, we were involved in a serious rear-end collision in the George Massey Tunnel. While braking hard to avoid a container truck, our taxi was rear ended twice.

Editor: Despite having an official community plan, and the associated Ladner, North Delta and Tsawwassen area plans, do not assume these represent what is happening in Delta. Many people will be unfamiliar with the term "bare land strata.

Editor: Beyond the obvious recurring expenses of hydro bills, restaurant meals and haircuts, the average family periodically faces huge outlays for things like house renovations, real estate commissions, legal fees, accounting fees, etc.

Don't worry, the headline doesn't refer to the presence of nuclear materials in Delta. This term is being used in reference to the creation of an agglomeration of facilities and activities that create a purposeful destination for visitors.

John Cummins is at it again. The former Delta-Richmond East MP carved out a reputation by speaking his mind during an almost 18-year career in Ottawa.

Editor: Last week, at the 12th Avenue entry to Boundary Bay Regional Park, a Metro Vancouver employee was busy chewing up the blackberry cane with a noisy gas-fuelled tool.
