I'll buy the suggestion they're all free thinkers, but I'm less inclined to bite on the notion of their so-called independence.

Editor: For several years, McKee Seniors' Recreation Centre in Ladner has provided the venue for a free flu shot clinic for seniors sponsored by Fraser Health. This year Fraser Health has advised us that it will not be providing this service.

Editor: There have been several power-related incidents in Tsawwassen this month. One power outage was caused by a fire at the top of a power pole near 18th Avenue and 56th Street.

I am not a concert go-er. In fact, I can count the number of concerts I have been to in my life on both hands. My main aversion to concerts is the venues. They are too big, too crowded and too impersonal.

Last week I read with interest the story in our local paper about the hiring of a consultant to come up with a plan to keep local business thriving.
