It was 10 years ago today the stairs at Fred Gingell Park finally opened

Fall is upon us and perhaps you are shifting to watching TV shows again. Perhaps you have bought a new TV. Perhaps you have received invitations and presentations about all the new channels and technology that's available.

They are big shoes indeed. I knew Jim Cessford wasn't going to be Delta's police chief forever, but last week's announcement that he'll be retiring early next year still caught me off guard.

Editor: I'm sure I'm not alone in noticing the increasing number of seniors who are unable to navigate their way across 56th Street intersections (especially at 12th Avenue) before the lights change.

Editor: Re: Wong seeks council seat, Sept. 3 I recall reading an article regarding a young man running for council. Nicholas Wong stated he is running for council for not just four years but for 40 years.

Earlier today while sitting in one of those interminable lineups to get through the George Massey Tunnel, I heard on the news that David Suzuki had called for the right for clean air and water be added to the Canadian Charter of Rights.

Editor: Several members of the McKee Seniors' Recreation Centre in Ladner have asked me to write a letter for them expressing their appreciation of the remarkable plant containers outside the centre and in other locations in Ladner.

There has been much speculation in these parts over the viability of the two massive malls under construction at the Tsawwassen First Nation.
