Editor: According to Port Metro Vancouver's spokesman, there are no plans to install shore power at Deltaport until sometime after 2020. That basically means there are no plans in place.

Editor: Ellyana's Crew would like to send a huge thank you to the businesses of Ladner and Tsawwassen. Many local shops and restaurants contributed silent auction gifts to support Ellyana's Crew's third annual Pub Night held in May.

Corporation of Delta once again knocked this yearly event out of the park! This is by far the coolest event for kids of the year. My family and I once again headed to Deas Island for it's annual Starry Night.

Editor: We have lived in Delta for over 20 years. Three children have grown up and never spent a day in anything other than a Delta school or recreational association. We are proud of our wonderful community.

A few weeks ago I was enjoying a summer break. Coffee in hand, I was scanning the newspaper when I saw an ad by the National Energy Board (NEB).

We all know in today’s day and age everyone has a camera at the tip of their fingers. Even my six-year-old has a whole album of Instagram pictures.

During the summers that we are in town, we head up to the Shuswap to Sandy Point Resort. For us, it is an opportunity to relax, enjoy the climate and reconnect with friends from Alberta. My husband has been going there on and off since the 1970s.

This healthy meal choice is quick and easy, which always a good weeknight option–especially on hump day. Use ground turkey, low sodium soy sauce, sesame seeds, grated fresh ginger, minced garlic and chopped green onion.

Anyone in the media tends to get a lot of press releases from a variety of sources. I give them a quick scan and pass them along to the appropriate editor or trash them if I feel they have no interest to our readers.
