Editor: Re: Strong economy, not more officials, more of a help in alleviating poverty, Publisher's Perspective, July 10 I was shocked to read the Publisher's Perspective. Tom Siba has managed to insult someone in every paragraph.

Editor: Re: Concern yourself with Ladner issues, letter to the editor, June 26 I fully support Peter White's remarks on "outsiders" showing support for developing the Southlands as I'm sure most of us living in Tsawwassen do.

Editor: Re: Strong economy, not more officials, more of a help in alleviating poverty, Publisher's Perspective, July 10 Hungry and underprivileged children in our society are not a joke.

Editor: Peter White opposes the Southlands development and he is entitled to do so.

Editor: I have to say, and it is a bit of an understatement, that I was flabbergasted with Peter White's comments regarding Southlands and his notion that the only people who can comment are those south of 16th Avenue to the border.

Editor: Re: Strong economy, not more officials, more of a help in alleviating poverty, Publisher's Perspective, July 10 Yes, federal and provincial governments are responsible to respond to the issues that create poverty, not municipalities.

Editor: Our dog Niko was attacked by another dog in Pebble Hill off-leash area in Tsawwassen last Friday. His caregiver was also badly bitten on her hand. Our dog is injured and ran away from the caregiver and we can't find him.

Editor: Re Municipality can afford by-election, letter to the editor, July 10 As always, a letter from Greg Hoover is thoughtful, intelligent and well written. Unfortunately, it probably makes way too much sense to be implemented by our council.

I have to sympathize with Corry Anderson-Fennell. As the deadline approached for my column, I didn't have a topic yet. Should I write about the Tour de Delta? I enjoyed volunteering, but tough to get 500 words on it. Southlands? I've shared enough.
