Editor: Can Delta and the province work together in achieving the goal of replacing the George Massey Tunnel? The provincial government has announced its intention to replace the tunnel as well as build a casino somewhere south of the Fraser River.

It certainly puts the pace of our judicial system in perspective.

Editor: When taking my dog for a quick walk in the pouring rain on Feb. 28, I noticed a lady with a dog having a great deal of difficultly walking. It was very dark so I would only go to the edge of the park beside Windsor Place.

Editor: The recently hatched discussion on a tunnel replacement, aside from obvious political opportunism, raises some interesting questions. Before discussing the alternatives going forward, some facts need to be reviewed.

I reviewed the politics and policies of upgrading or replacing the George Massey Tunnel in my last column. In 2006, then transportation minister Kevin Falcon said the tunnel was a low priority and would be addressed in a decade or two.

Editor: Re: Ashcroft might not be the best solution, letter to the editor, March 8 I am truly amazed by some of the content in Ed Ries' letter published March 8. My comments are as follows: .

Editor: In regards to the George Massey tunnel upgrade or replacement options. I cannot believe that the number one option would not be to extend the SkyTrain from the Brighouse station to the Ladner bus loop. Better yet extend the line to the B.C.

Editor: It was with the sense of deja vu, that I attended "Tunnel Spiel" Saturday, March 16 in Tsawwassen.

Editor: It would appear that Jeff Scott, president and CEO of the Fraser Surrey Docks LP, is determined to increase shipments at the Fraser Surrey Docks regardless of the consequences to the health of the people living along the route or the damages
