The Ladner Red Sox 9U all-star baseball team head to Nanaimo this weekend trying to make it 3-for-3 in tournament play.

On the heels of their win at the Diane Cook Memorial in Newton, the Red Sox were victorious at the Rupert Reed Tournament in Ridge Meadows last weekend.

After earning the top seed via round-robin play, Ladner rallied with three runs in its final at-bats to pull out a thrilling 5-4 semi-final win over the North Langley Trappers.

The momentum continued into the final where the boys rolled to an 8-2 victory over Abbotsford Red.
