Hockey and basketball seasons would be in the stretch drive and baseball and soccer seasons would just be beginning, so normally this would be a great time for sports fans.

Here are some of the responses we received:

James Romphf-Dennis: Formula 1. I was waiting for the first race of this season since the last race of last season. Was really gutted when they cancelled the Australia Grand Prix but, well such is life.

Kent Kirkland: The NHL Rewind on Sportsnet has been awesome ... replaying all the greatest games over the past decade or so, Stanley Cup finals, playoff games etc ... makes things feel a little more normal when you can put the game on and hang out.

Renee Close: Lacrosse! We are just underway with formation of teams getting ready for the season to begin in April. Also, Delta lacrosse was planning on holding the first annual lacrosse tournament (Delta Heritage Classic) in May for the Novice division (9-10 years old). This tournament was going to be held at Ladner Leisure Centre and North Delta Rec Centre. A huge disappointment for all lacrosse players and a loss for the city of Delta. It is very sad.

Sarah Wiebe: My son was looking forward to his first year playing flag football for the Rams.....we get it but we’re sad!

Greg Day: Delta Secondary’s junior girls’ soccer team was going to be very strong this year. It’s a shame they aren’t going to be able to show everyone how good they are.

Jamie Bates: Barn hockey….the stretch drive was in full effect culminating with the Mitchel Cup.

Dino Chikites: The run to the cup. The NHL final weeks where every game matters, where every pass, hit, shot on net makes or breaks your teams’ chance on making it to the playoffs. Then of course when your team makes the playoffs it’s time to hold your breath till they hoist the cup.
