South Delta's Bantam A1 team recently won the Larry Orr Memorial Tournament Oct. 5-8 in Sydney, a tournament that included teams from both the mainland and island.

The Storm finished first in round robin play and were able to capture the title with an exciting 3-2 victory over Chilliwack.

“The kids had a great weekend, the team bonded well, they got to experience playing different teams they don't often get to see, and of course winning the tournament is an added bonus,” said Storm head coach Brent Wheatley.

The team consists of: Jacob Bailie, Diarmuid Bostock, Arjun Chahal, Charlie Derrheim, Tye Hemenway, Maddex Hewitt, Max Kidds-Brodie, Logan Lechner, Grady Lenton, Jesse Mitran, Lane Sharpe, Kai Sloan, Jamison Sluys, Declan Speiran, Owen Turpie, Dylan Van Poelgeest, Owen Vernier, and Ben Wichers. The Storm are led by head coach Brent Wheatley, and assistant Chad Dey and Tony Marra and team Manager Brent Derrheim.
