Delta Gymnastics members Makenzie Grant and Astarte Garnett returned home with medals from the recent Canadian Championships in Ottawa.
Competing in the JO9 and JO10 levels respectively, Grant, 12, and Garnett, 15, each achieved bronze in the floor event. The medals were well deserved as both are powerful tumblers, awesome dancers and have great amplitude in their leaps and jumps.
Delta Gymnastics Superstar and Gymnaestrada Coordinator Jenn Watts is responsible for the excellent choreography for both routines.
The six-day meet was held at Carlton Universit and brought together Canada’s best national level and high-performance gymnasts, from novice to senior Olympic level athletes.
