Delta’s Beck Malenstyn is bringing fans inside the playoff “bubble.”
The 22-year-old member of the Washington Capitals is writing a blog on his experience inside the “bubble” that features the eight remaining Eastern Conference teams in Toronto for the Stanley Cup playoffs during the COVID-19 pandemic. Here is Malenstyn’s first entry.

The Ladner native made his NHL debut back in November after being called up from the Capitals’ American League Hockey affiliate in Hershey. He was Washington’s fifth round pick (14th overall in the 2016 NHL Entry Draft.
The Capitals opened their best-of-seven series against the New York Islanders with a 4-2 loss on Wednesday.
