Nate and Sam Clare have helped England advance to the quarter-finals at the 2019 World Lacrosse Men’s Indoor World Championship at the Langley Events Centre.

The Ladner brothers and Team England cruised to a 15-6 win over Finland and will now play Israel on Wednesday. The other quarter-final match-up has Czech Republic taking on the United States with top seeds Canada and Iroquois Nationals awaiting in the semi-finals.

Nate had a goal and six assists against Finland as England took control with 15 unanswered goals. Sam is a key defender who is coming off his first season in the Western Lacrosse Association with the Burnaby Lakers.

Playing for England is nothing new for the Clares. They took advantage of their parents heritage to play at the 2015 World Box Lacrosse Championships in New York and again two years later at the European Championships.

England plays Israel at 5 p.m. today, followed by USA and the Czech Republic at 8 p.m. The tournament wraps up on Saturday.
