Littlefoot the missing rescue dog was spotted several times in Richmond over Christmas, but the shy pup is still on the loose.

Owner Jocelyn Aspa is once again asking residents to keep their eyes peeled for her pet, but asks people not to approach or chase him.

The dog went missing on Dec. 2 from his Vancouver neighbourhood when Aspa's boyfriend, who has epilepsy, had a seizure while out for a walk with him. Since then, Littlefoot has been spotted frequenty in Richmond over the past two weeks.

“It’s encouraging to know that he’s still ok,” Aspa told the Richmond News.

He was first spotted near Lansdowne Centre before he moved into the Capstan area and then travelled down to Steveston as Christmas approached.

The most recent sighting was just north of Steveston Highway between No 4 and No 3 Roads on Boxing Day.

Aspa hired a professional pet detective, named Al, who has been in the area looking for the dog. She said he was very close to bringing Littlefoot in on Christmas Eve.

“I feel like it’s going to happen sooner or later,” Aspa said. “I’m really grateful for the world that’s been spread. It’s been humbling.”

If you see Littlefoot, you can call Al the pet detective at 604-825-6913 or Aspa at 604-805-4670.
