The Ladner Red Sox will be taking plenty of momentum with them when they head to Prince George next week for the provincial championships.
The Red Sox earned the regular season pennant in B.C. Minor Baseball’s 15U Bantam AA League with a sparkling 32-3-1 record.
It's been an incredible journey, with a team that has power through its entire lineup scoring 403 runs for while holding the opposition to only 164 against. Expectations are high for Prince George, for what will likely be the last time the boys will play for a B.C. championship as a group — many of whom have been playing together since Tadpole.
The 12-team provincials gets underway on Thursday with Ladner being the top seed.
The roster features: Arjun Chahal, Brady MacDonald, Casey Cartlidge, Jackson Bakker, Layne Edge, Logan Lechner, Max Kidds-Brodie, Michael Norcott, Quincy Chong, Ryan Carleton, Tye Hemenway and Tyler Allan.
The boys are coached by Todd Allan, Steve Chong, Mark MacDonald, Mike Norcott, Corey Edge and Jordan Sanders.
