SDSS hosting Delta Basketball League's Super Saturday

Five title games to be played next weekend

The No. 3 seed Delta Pacers will have home court advantage when they take on the No. 2 seed South Delta Sun Devils on Wednesday at 5 p.m. in the Delta Basketball League junior girls semi-finals. The playoffs conclude with Super Saturday on Feb. 8 at South Delta Secondary.

The Delta Basketball League season will conclude with the annual Super Saturday Championship games next weekend at South Delta Secondary.

The schedule will begin with the Grade 8 girls final at 9 a.m., followed by the Grade 8 boys at 10:30 a.m.

The boys Grade 9 title game goes at noon. Super Saturday will then conclude with the junior girls and boys finals at 1:30 and 3 p.m. respectively.

What teams will be playing in those games will be determined this coming week.

Seaquam (5-1) and Delta (5-1) are the No. 1 and No. 2 seeds respectively in the junior boys playoffs.

Seaquam (6-0) and South Delta (5-1) are the top two seeds in the junior girls draw. Burnsview and Delta Secondary will host the respective semi-final games on Wednesday at 3:30 and 5 p.m.

The North Delta Huskies (8-0) are the team to beat in the Grade 9 boys playoffs. Seaquam is hosting the semi-finals on Wednesday.

South Delta (9-1) and Burnsview (9-1) are the No. 1 and No. 2 seeds respectively in Grade 8 girls play. North Delta (11-0), South Delta (9-3) and Delview (9-3) top the Grade 8 boys draw.

The Grade 8 semi-final games will take place at Delview (girls) and North Delta (boys), also on Wednesday.
