The top seeded Sun Devils, guided by longtime coaches Stephen Burns and Brent Sweeney, opened the 16-team event with a 4-1 win over Brookswood on Monday. A hat trick from Bree Gallagher led the charge.

South Delta will be back on the Winskill turf Monday (3 p.m.) to take on the Centennial Centaurs in the semi-finals. The Valley playoffs will conclude next Thursday at Cloverdale Athletic Park.

The Sun Devils finished second a year ago en route to a bronze medal at provincials.
