The Tsawwassen A’s (Bantam - 15U) team won the provincial title last weekend in Mission reeling off seven consecutive wins.

The Tsawwassen A’s (Bantam - 15U) team won the provincial title last weekend in Mission reeling off seven consecutive wins.

The A’s enjoyed strong hitting throughout the lineup, steady defensive play and outstanding pitching all season long.

Tsawwassen’s strong pitching in the tournament was highlighted by Declan Speiran’s complete game, 3-2 victory over rival Campbell River Tyees.

In Sunday’s tournament final, Tsawwassen’s Tysen O’Neil threw a complete game in the 4-3 win over the then undefeated Vancouver Mounties. O’Neil earned his third win of the tournament and MVP honours with the performance.

The team includes: Alex Braim, Brody Kenward, Cooper Loewen, Declan Dunn, Declan Speiran, Jackson MacCubbin, Matthew McPhie, Matthias McDonnell, Maximillian Edwards-Ryland, Morgan McDonough, Nolan Wrathall, Richard Pratt, Tysen O’Neil. Head coach is R.J. O’Neil, assistant coaches are Paul Kenward, Jeff Speiran and Neal McDonough.
