Tsawwassen’s Shauna Dahl beat the heat and beat out the best of the best at the recent Subaru Half Ironman Canada in Whistler.
The mother of three finished first in her age group (female 40-44) with a time of five hours, 16 minutes and three seconds. That placed her 14th out of 466 overall female competitors and placed her 85th out of the 1,113 overall competitors that took part in the gruelling event.
She had a fantastic swim in Alta Lake finishing with a time of 33:05, completed the bike portion in 2:48:52 and the run in a time of 1:47:09.
