The highlight of her career was helping Princeton reach the Elite Eight of the 2017 NCAA Championships — the school’s best showing at the national tournament in 13 years.

Sheppard earned a lucrative student aid deal to the renowned Ivy League school in New Jersey after a decorated youth career that concluded with the all-expenses-paid Whitecaps Girls Elite Program.

She was a prolific scorer, earning the Golden Boot Award at the 2012 nationals with Coastal FC of the B.C. Premier Soccer League. She also was the Sun Devils top scorer in her Grade 10 year that concluded in the B.C. AAA title game.

She made the move to defender during her time with the Whitecaps Academy, working with then head coach Jesse Symons.

Sheppard would not be attending an Ivy League school without thriving in the classroom too. She is majoring in ecology and evolutionary biology.
