Delta Photo Club is pleased to present Cinematic Photography by internationally acclaimed fine art photographic artist Fang Tong on Wednesday, Jan. 10.

The presentation will start at 7:30 p.m. at the KinVillage Community Centre (5410 10 Ave, Delta).

Tong will discuss her early work, her series and solo shows, and her work process going from concept and sketch to execution.

Tong is an award-winning photographer based in Vancouver.

In 2015, she won first prize in the Nikon International Photography Competition.

She had an interview with CBC Arts in 2019. She has had solo and group shows in many locations such as Paris, Sicily, Budapest, Barcelona, London, Shanghai, and Vancouver.

Tong is a cinematic-style photographer. Her works are embedded with an implied

narrative. Her passion is for her work to border on the surreal, yet hold back enough to

keep it firmly in the real world. The imaginary world is strangely familiar while the

narrative arc takes audiences on a hyper-visual ride through people’s

subconsciousness. The balance between the real and the surreal pulls her audiences

into the world she created, letting them discover their own answers.
