(PHOTOS) Fans celebrate Vancouver Canucks game one win at Delta-Surrey border

Frustrated fans had nothing to celebrate since the COVID-abbreviated season a few years ago

A big turnout showed up at the intersection of Scott Road and 72 Avenue at the Delta-Surrey border to celebrate the Vancouver Canucks first win in their opening round series in the NHL playoffs on Sunday evening.

The honking of cars started and flag waving fans at each corner made their excitement known as soon as the final horn sounded.

The location had already become the go-to spot for Canucks fans to celebrate and the crowds are expected to only get bigger the deeper the team advances this year.

The City of Delta organized its own game watch party at the Nordel Social Heart plaza on 84 Avenue on Sunday.
