People started lining up at 10 p.m. Friday night at the Ladner Dairy Queen for a chance to win a free blizzard every week for a year.
The promotion was part of the new Dairy Queen’s grand opening celebrations.
Those in line had to buy an ice cream cake in order to be eligible for the blizzard promotion. The first 200 people received cards.
The line was 200-plus deep when DQ opened at 8 a.m. Saturday morning.
