Traffic was a nightmare for several hours Wednesday morning after a lumber truck lost its load around 8 a.m. on Highway 17 near the Highway 91 Connector in North Delta. Delta police responded and ensured that one lane eastbound remained open to traffic while the lumber was cleared off the road by hand. Police are still investigating the exact cause of the accident.
Police expect Highway 17 will re-open eastbound to two lanes, but still will face intermittent closures as officers remove the rest of the lumber.
