Since everything is different this year, it might be harder to figure out what is going on in Prince George for Halloween.
Luckily, Tourism Prince George has rounded up a list of events around town for Halloween 2020 – we have shared some of those events below!
While this Halloween may be a little scarier than previous years, there’s still plenty of spooky things taking place this Oct. 31.
Candy Cruise
Saturday, Oct. 31 starting at 4:30 p.m.
Candy Cruise was the first Halloween event to spring back.
It’s going to be a safe, fun and unique experience for kids with dozens of organizations and businesses on board. It’s a free drive-thru experience where families can get dressed up, get into their vehicles and drive through each of the 10 hub locations spread out around Prince George.
Each designated location will have its own unique twist with displays, light shows, costumes, attractions and of course candy. There’s also going to be a photo contest so make sure to take a picture when you are all dressed up and use the hashtag #candycruisepg when you post to Instagram or Facebook.
Pumpkin Walk
Oct. 30 and 31 from 5 to 9 p.m.
A fun event for the whole family! For two nights, the orchard at Northern Lights Estate Winery will be transformed into a spooky paradise.
The Pumpkin Walk will include over 150 pumpkins, a haunting photo booth and a little treat for the kids is all to be had.
Admission runs at $2 per person and must be purchased in advance.
Your ticket includes a $3 coupon towards a wine bottle purchase, and a 20-minute window to enjoy a festive pumpkin paradise.
Halloweenie Roast and Pumpkin Drive
Thursday, Oct. 29 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Spruce Credit Union and Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Northern BC (BIGSNBC) are hosting the second annual Halloweenie Roast and Pumpkin Drive!
The event will take place at the Spruce Credit Union Hart location (6541 John Hart Hwy).
In order to keep our patrons, staff, and volunteers safe, the event will be strictly drive-thru. Organizers ask that you please remain in your vehicle while in attendance. A staff member or volunteer will take your order and deliver it back to you. All staff will be wearing mask and gloves for your protection.
All proceeds from the event will be used to support BIGSNBC pro-active mentoring programs.
Halloween Haunt
Saturday, Oct. 31 from 1 to 4 p.m.
Our friends at 101.3 The River and a variety of local businesses and organizations are throwing a social distance parking lot party.
Participate in a drive-through rick of treating event guaranteed to put a smile on your kids faces.
Businesses will have spooky stations throughout the parking lot and families need only roll down their windows to collect some sweet treats before heading home.
Trick or Treating
Traditional trick or treating can still work, but the BC Centre for Disease Control (BCCDC) is recommending some adjustments for safety.
Children should incorporate a mask into their costume, stay within your own neighbourhood, and within your limited physical distancing bubble-like immediate family.
