With five of 32 polls in Delta reporting, incumbent George Harvie and his Achieving for Delta team is off to a fast start on election night.
Harvie has 3,117 votes compared to 671 for Peter van der Velden and 219 for Joginder Randhawa.
In the race for council, Alicia Guichon has 3,058 votes, Dylan Kruger, 2,734 votes, Daniel Boisvert, 2,688 votes, Rod Binder, 2,295 votes, Jennifer Johal, 2,251 votes and Jessie Dosanjh, 2,244 votes.
In the school board race, Acheving for Delta leads is six of the seven seats with Erica Beard at 2,523 votes, Val Windsor at 2,507 votes, Ammen Dhillon with 2,059 votes, Masko Gooch with 1,826 votes, Nimmi Daula with 1,799 votes, Joe Muego with 1,781 votes and incumbent Nick Kanakos with 1,657 votes.
