A fall volunteer training program will take place at the Harold & Veronica Savage Centre for Supportive Care in Ladner starting Oct. 13, running Monday and Thursday mornings until Nov. 17. If you are interested in becoming a trained Delta Hospice volunteer, please call coordinator of volunteers, Chris Colero at 604-948-0660. A pre-course interview will be scheduled so that participants will have a clear understanding of the course and the expected commitments.

?Family Grief Group Program - Children & Parents: Dr. Heather Mohan, RCC, will be holding a Children's Grief Group for children 5 to 12 years old who are grieving the death of a parent, sibling, grandparent or other significant person. A Parent's Grief Group, facilitated by Marg Fletcher, RCC, will be held at the same time. The groups, starting Oct. 18, run on Tuesdays from 4: 30 to 6 p.m. every other week throughout the school year. ?The next regular meeting of the South Delta Low Vision support group will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 18 at 1: 30 p.m. held in the Ladner Pioneer Library - 47th Ave., Ladner. Guest speaker will be Orv. Jantzen of Clarity Canada, specialists in magnification equipment. We welcome all low vision persons and families.
