A man will be sentenced for a fatal crash in the Massey Tunnel back in 2020.

A man who pleaded guilty to dangerous driving causing death in a 2020 George Massey Tunnel crash will be sentenced on Monday.

Sundeep Singh Mann was originally charged with six counts including impaired and dangerous driving after colliding head-on with another vehicle in the tunnel on Sept. 2, 2020.

Mann's vehicle crossed the centre line inside the tunnel shortly after midnight and crashed into a northbound vehicle.

The 61-year-old Richmond woman driving the northbound vehicle died in the accident and her passenger was sent to hospital with serious injuries.

Mann originally pleaded not guilty in May, but he changed his plea on July 21, pleading guilty to one count of dangerous operation causing death and one count of dangerous operation causing bodily harm.

He is set to appear in Richmond Provincial Court on the morning of Dec. 11 for his sentencing.
