This year, to follow provincial health guidelines and ensure everyone’s safety was maintained, schools took a different approach to the annual Terry Fox Run held at the end of September.

At many schools, classes took turns to run outside at different times and held special Zoom assemblies.

At Neilson Grove Elementary, students clocked an impressive 320 km and raised $425 with their Toonies for Terry fundraiser.

A significant amount of money was raised to help with cancer research by other schools across the district, including $1,000 by Gibson Elementary and $1,500 by Delview Secondary.

What a great way to honour Terry Fox and his Marathon of Hope!
