Let’s take another step back in time with this Delta Archives photo from 1942 showing three men at the Tamboline farm on Westham Island.
They’re identified, from left to right, as Ernie Tamboline, Lloyd Tamboline and Jim Savage.
They’re displaying snow geese from a hunting trip in January of that year.
The date was confirmed by Lloyd who remembered that the high school was closed. and he was free for two weeks, because unseasonably cold weather froze the school's water pipes which burst.
Ernie, stationed at Jericho Beach with the air force, was home for a visit.
