DPD to host Police Day in North Delta

Annual event set for May 16 at Sungod

Residents will get a chance to get an inside look at the Delta Police Department next Thursday during Police Day in North Delta.

The annual event, which was held last year in Ladner, returns to North Delta on Thursday, May 16 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Sungod Rec Centre (7815 112th Street).

The free, fun, family event is open to all residents and will have prizes, demonstrations, displays and more.

Demonstrations will include:

  • RCMP Air One helicopter (noon)
  • Police K9 unit (1 to 3 p.m.)
  • ICBC driving simulator (3 to 5 p.m.)
  • Delta police pipe band
  • Garage 529 free bike registration

There will also be displays including the emergency response team tactical armoured vehicle.
