Tsawwassen Mills is hosting a Food Donation Drive Thru this Friday,
The mall is partnering with the Delta Coalition to host a food donation drive-thru in the parking lot with the mall to match $1 for each donated item, up to $5,000.
The community is encouraged to participate through a contactless drop-off by driving to the donation area, stopping at the marked area and popping their trunk.
Wearing personal protective equipment, one of the volunteers will pick-up the donation items and shut the trunk.
The requested donation items are non-perishable, healthy food items, such as canned fruits and vegetables, canned/dry soup, canned tuna/salmon, sealed packaged nuts/seeds, grains like oats, rice and barley, granola bars and non-refrigerated coconut/almond milk.
The Delta Food Coalition is a network of community groups working together to address food security issues in Delta.
This group is comprised of organizations such as the Earthwise Society and the Delta School District, who will both be on site.
The event takes place Friday, July 10th at the south parking lot, between Winners and Milestones
It will be held from 2 to 6 p.m.
