Check out KinVillage at open house

KinVillage Community Centre will host an open house and membership drive next Saturday. There will be demonstrations, bingo draws, information booths and complimentary tea or coffee, notes community centre volunteer Wanda Green.

KinVillage Community Centre will host an open house and membership drive next Saturday.

There will be demonstrations, bingo draws, information booths and complimentary tea or coffee, notes community centre volunteer Wanda Green.

Membership, open to those 50 and up, costs $21 annually. Members receive discounted participation prices.

The centre offers over two dozen activities, including several types of exercise classes, yoga, quilting, watercolour art, snooker, poker, bridge, euchre, line dancing, movie matinees, dances, monthly lunches and special events.

The centre is also home to Unique Boutique, which sells gently used ladies apparel and accessories, and the Urban Village Café. The office for ElderCollege Delta is also located at the centre.

The open house is set for Saturday, Feb. 15 from 2 to 4 p.m. at KinVillage Community Centre, 5430-10th Ave., Tsawwassen.
