Mrs. Gillis' Grade 6/7 class at Cliff Drive Elementary in Tsawwassen has been collecting pennies all year in support of children with life-threatening illnesses at Canuck Place. In addition, the class baked cookies and held a bake sale, raising a total of $507. 88. Students proudly presented their cheque to the children of Canuck Place at an assembly last week. The students would also like to thank Ms. Ayres, their Junior Achievement mentor, for helping them with their campaign to give back to their community.
