Diabetes Self-Management is a free six-week workshop at Delta Manor Education Centre on Thursday evenings, 5:30 to 8 p.m. Healthy eating, exercise, dealing with stress and difficult emotions are discussed. Delta Photo Club meets Wednesday, March 8, for Print Night. Black and white images are encouraged, as guest judge, Wes Bergen, will provide feedback in preparation for competition selection on March 15. DivorceCare, a divorce recovery seminar for divorced or separated individuals, begins Thursday, March 9, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Little House in Tsawwassen. DivorceCare is a 13-week faith-based video seminar series featuring foremost experts on divorce and recovery topics. The video seminars are combined with support group discussion of the materials presented during the video program. Attendees will receive a workbook filled with practical tips, encouraging words, journaling ideas, and exercises for daily help. Tsawwassen Mills Toastmasters Club, Delta's only daytime Toastmasters club, welcomes you to come for a visit. Expect to have fun in a safe environment, while you learn public speaking skills and leadership skills. Guests are always welcome. Kee Philosophers' is back for their March session with Robbin Whitbread coordinating. Kee Philosophers' will meet again on Friday, March 10, 1:30 to 3 p.m. in the McKee Seniors Centre lounge where we'll be discussing the very important question, A Military Chaplain's Perspective on "PTSD" - Where we've come from - Where might we go? Maj. Reverend Jim Short from Ladner United Church and a military chaplain who served in Afghanistan for a year will be our speaker. Kee Philosophers' is for anyone who enjoys learning or sharing their own insights and perspectives on interesting topics. The Kee Philosophers' are free and open to all. No pre-registration is necessary.

Ladner Parkinson's support group meeting Saturday, March 11 from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at McKee Centre. This group is for people living with Parkinson's and/or the people who care for them. We meet the second Saturday of each month. For more information call Dave or Gloria at 604-948-0156.

Do your children knit? Bring them with you and connect across the generations at Knit & Stitch on Mondays, March 13 and 20, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Ladner Pioneer Library or Wednesdays, March 15 and 22 from 7 to 8 p.m. at the Tsawwassen Library. Knit & Stitch is an ongoing program where members of all ages and abilities share ideas, techniques and good conversation.

The New Tsawwassen Springs Tuesday Ladies Golf Club is accepting new members for the 2017 season. The season begins on April 11 at 9 a.m. The annual fee is $140 to join, that includes BC Golf, affiliation fee and prizes. Contact the Pro Shop at 604 948-4653 for more information.

SENIORS

Shari's Saturday Social Dance - KinVillage Community Centre, 5430-10th Ave., Tsawwassen, Saturday, March 11, dress style optional but black and white is the theme. Doors open at 7 p.m., dancing from 7:30 to 11 p.m. Dance to a wide variety of CD music. Tickets at the door: $12 for members, $14 for non-members, includes mid-evening goodies. O'Brian School of Irish Dance students will perform 11:30 a.m. to noon on Friday, March 17, KinVillage Community Centre, 5430-10th Ave. Admission is free. A special curry lunch will be available for $7.35 tax included.

Secure shredding (by donation) will be provided by URBAN IMPACT from 9 a.m. to noon. Come and check out the wide variety of tools and toys, books and boots, clothes and kitchenware and many other gently used items.
