Local libraries are hosting a free workshop that will teach the shortcuts to downsizing.
Move forward with your life with Ranka Burzan, a professional organizer who specializes in decluttering, downsizing for seniors, residential organization and home maintenance.
Don't Agonize, Downsize! with Ranka Burzan will be held on Thursday, Oct. 20 at the Ladner Pioneer Library and on Wednesday, Nov. 2 at the Tsawwassen Library. Both sessions run from 7 to 8: 30 p.m.
Burzan first shared her organizing tips with readers in the Surrey Now newspaper back in 2003.
Her article, Helpful Hints to Organize and Clean Your Home, was well received by readers.
She followed that with more articles in other local newspapers and magazines and has written a helpful little book, Kick the Clutter Get Organized.
The overwhelming demand for her services and workshops prompted her to start her own business when most people are retiring or dreaming about being retired.
She also started to offer workshops through libraries, Chapters and local school districts; giving people tips and tools on how to organize and maintain their homes, offices or classrooms.
