lf you are interested in reconnecting with nature, restoring natural habitat, cultivating sustainable communities and having fun with a fantastic group of people in the process, check out Earthwise Society's Earth Week events in Boundary Bay and in Agassiz.

The Earthwise Garden Boundary Bay will celebrate Earth Week from April 16 to 21 by inviting the community to help the Earth by volunteering that week. Come alone or bring a group.

It's a great opportunity for local businesses to involve their teams in shared outdoor activities to support Earthwise in cultivating sustainable communities. Half-day or full-day team building events for businesses are organized by Earthwise staff and will get employees out of the office and moving around in nature.

On Earth Day, get acquainted with Earthwise Agassiz at a family-friendly open house on Saturday, April 22 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Visit the society's unique property in the eastern Fraser Valley to discover the many different ecosystems on-site and find out more about longterm plans for the area.

Activities include selfguided tours, nature-based contests and games, and tree planting.

Located less than five kilometres from the village of Harrison Hot Springs, Earthwise Agassiz contains a variety of habitats, a heritage farm house and a small-scale organic farm.

The Miami River borders the property to the east and this year Earthwise will be enhancing salmon and riparian habitat along the river and installing an educational streamside and woodland trail with support from TD Friends of Environment.
