The Ladner Business Association is hosting the annual Easter parade and egg hunt in Ladner Village this Sunday afternoon.

Children and families are encouraged to decorate their bikes, wagons, strollers and scooters and be part of the parade as it rolls down Delta Street from the Delta Museum to Memorial Park.

Last year, Rev. Jim Short of Ladner United Church led the festivities in the coveted bunny costume. This year the Delta Police Pipe Band will lead the parade.

The Easter Bunny will be played by local six-footfour-inch cabinet installer Alan Hewson of Alan Installations.

At the park, children will be invited to take part in an Easter egg hunt co-sponsored by Save-On-Foods.

Parade participants are to meet the Easter Bunny and the pipe band in front of the Delta Museum on Delta Street at 12: 55 p.m. Note that motorized vehicles are not allowed and young children should be accompanied by an adult.

The parade begins at 1 p.m. sharp.
