Are you a teen interested in journaling, but not sure where to start?

Join online for The Art of Journaling on Wednesday, Nov. 17, from 3 to 4 p.m. on Zoom. We’ll discuss the joys of journaling, potential benefits, as well as tips and tricks. If you already have a journal, bring it along. If you don’t, that’s okay too! Registration is required by visiting the events page at www.fvrl.ca.

Are you between the ages of five and 11 who would like to connect with other kids and have fun reading and discussing various picture books? Register for Online Picture Book Club happening on Thursday, Nov. 18, from 4 to 4:45 p.m. Besides the entertainment factor, this program will help your child focus on the ideas in the story and build reading comprehension. To register, visit the events page at www.fvrl.ca.

The events page lists other FVRL program options.

For example, both kids and teens can test their creativity in a Sphero SPRK+ Challenge: Chariot Building on Wednesday, Nov. 24, from 3:30 to 4 p.m.

Put a Sphero SPRK+ on hold and pick it up at your local library. Come up with a chariot attachment that allows your Sphero to carry around quarters and enter the official Sphero Quarter Carrying Challenge. (No store bought attachments please.) Prepare a design before the event and then join on Zoom to show off your design (and to see what other people have come up with). Space is limited, so sign up on the events page at www.fvrl.ca.
